Abstract Tin Figures

These earrings look a bit like human figures wearing dangly earrings.
The “heads” are coin charms taken from a broken antique bracelet. I have punctured a hole in the center in order to anchor a resin cabochons created in situ into the center. The bit of resin you see on the reverse keeps the cab gripped to the coin forever. These cabs have a wonderful opal shimmer that shifts color from different angles.
The links on either side are embellished with tiny rivet-like discs or micro-washers. They look a little like ears, and the “earrings “ are ball drops as seen in my Grungy Resin Opals tutorial.
Below are teardrops of salvaged vintage tin with more of my anchored cabs in the center.
