Gemstone necklace with Kuchi resin opal

$168.00

The focal of this icy necklace is an antique coin pendant created by the Kuchi people of Afghanistan.

Into it, I have built a bezel with a type of resin opal of my own invention. It has pieces of abalone with iridescent colors and a large white rhinestone that flash in the light. These are partially occluded by cloudy layers of resin. Over that are a few specks of metal leaf around the edges.

The pendant hangs on a swirl of hammered brass. Along the bottom are dangling stacks of clear semiprecious gemstones.

More of these make up the necklace. Stones include mostly quartz, but also labradorite, and moonstone for a few flashes of blue and seafoam here and there.

Adjustable from 16-21”.

One-of-a-kind.

Ships from the US in beautiful gift wrap.
