Petit Point Earrings

Sections of vintage petit point cross stitch were taken from a from a clutch that was deconstructed when it was damaged. The “bezel” is made from salvaged tin. Wonky little scalloped edges hold it in place. This is riveted to a larger base piece. Two eyelets on this lead to long ear wires of strong tempered stainless steel make a hoop shape. On the backs, the tin is further embellished with botanical transfers. These came out slightly heart-shaped, which was a happy surprise.
