Emmeline necklace
Emmeline frightens the villagers. They give her cottage a wide berth. But as soon as one of their children sicken, the mothers run to her for charms and remedies.
Emmeline is sculpted from clay in a little box bezel made of salvaged tin.
She hangs between two special charms- one is a traditional Kuchi dangle from Afghanistan and the other is a stack of gemstones with a rhinestone rondelle. They hang under a cord made of woven and waxed cotton.
All along the cord is embellished with bands of vintage tin between separator bands of brass.
At the cord ends are links of mostly vintage glass beads.
One leads to a handmade hook and the other to an extender chain that leads to a final trio of dangles that forms a secret pendant on the back. There’s a rough kyanite slab with a thin coating of resin I put on it, there’s a tiger eye stick, and a long vintage glass drop on a resin headpin.
Adjustable from 18-22.5”
