Kuchi resin opal (dark green)

An antique Kuchi coin pendant serves as a base for this resin opal cabochon.

At the base are mother-of-pearl pieces with a rainbow iridescence. Cloudy layers slightly occlude these. Closer to the surface is a mini bouquet of tiny white dried flowers. Bits of golden leaf sparkle along the edges. 

Around this is a ring of tiny pale gemstones of various types to serve as a kind of frame. 

Dark green rutilated briolettes in smooth onion cut dangle along the bottom. 

Above, I’ve embellished the bail by wrapping an antique sterling flower around it. 

This is threaded on two salvaged antique chains of sterling silver, joined by a microfaceted smoky quartz. 

At the end of the extender chain is a vintage glass bead and my own resin ball drop. 

Adjustable up to 23”.
