Kuchi resin opal (purple)
The focal of this unique necklace is an antique coin charm made by the Kuchi people of Afghanistan.
Onto it I’ve built a cabochon with tin walls and a cloudy opalescence.
It consists of abalone shell with aurora borealis gleam as well as iridescent flakes under milky layers of resin.
Over that are a starburst of tiny dried flowers.
Framing the edge is a lovely ring of tiny garnets.
Below hang all different shades of amethyst beads. Four are rondelles and one is cube cut.
The necklace consists of two parts- one thin, antique sterling silver chain, and one strand of random semiprecious gemstones.
Overall, they have a soft purple hue, with some pinks mixed in.
The extender chain ends in a large dark amethyst.
Adjustable from 19 to 22.5”. Let me know if you’d like it lengthened.
One-of-a-kind.
