Waziri Opal necklace (2)
$119.00
The focal of this fun and eclectic piece is an antique pendant made by the Waziri people who live between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
I’ve removed the original glass cabochon and in its place created a resin opal. It has a large dark rhinestone and cloudy layers over hints of iridescent shards.
It hangs on a thick cord of woven and waxed cotton which is embellished with all kinds of mismatched elements. Charms of lampwork, one antique Victorian boot button, tiny gemstone dangles, and a Kuchi charm. Bands of vintage tin and brass rings.
Mostly vintage beads on either cord end lead to a handmade hook and extender chain that ends in dangles of vintage beads and metal charm.
Adjustable from 17.5 to 22”.
