Waziri pendant necklace (Chl2)
The base of this piece is an antique pendant from Waziristan, a tribal region between Afghanistan and Pakistan. In it I have sculpted a tiny clay face that tells a story.
She’s strung on a waxed cotton cord. This is embellished with bands of vintage tin and brass links. There’s vintage glass, a citrine briolette, tiny gems, a Victorian boot button, lampwork and more. At either end of the cord are beads of vintage glass, coral, wood with abalone and others. The hook is handmade.
Her extender chain terminates in a cluster of charms- a thread button I made in the Dorset style, a chunk of amber and vintage glass, three vintage stick beads. Finally my enamel and clay dangle with vintage heart rondelle.
Adjustable from 16.5-20”. Let me know if you want it longer.
