Coral lariat
The focal of this long lariat necklace is an antique celluloid coral rose on a brass setting, which I have mounted onto an antique Kuchi coin charm.
All around the edge I have used little beads of authentic coral to create a sweet frame.
This hangs from a thick ring of hammered copper leading to a series of vintage beads of different styles graduated from largest to smallest, including a vintage baroque faux pearl, carved bone, rudraksha, vintage filigree, and more.
The chain is a sort of collage of salvaged lengths from found pieces. Around the other end are more coral beads in longer shapes. These end in a vintage glass pearl and a secondary focal: a cluster of drops including: mystery stone with matte finish and a vintage copper cap, a quartz piece which I’ve coated in layers of resin, and a vintage “sugar” bead with rhinestone rondelle and gorgeous cut glass bead.
The chain alone is 25”. Measured from the base of each pendant, the entire piece is 29.5”.
