Dark purple lariat
The focal of this long lariat necklace is an antique Kuchi coin charm into which I’ve built a resin focal full of dark tones and flashing iridescence. In it there are rhinestones and glass shards as well as iridescent shards of color that move with the light.
This is framed in vintage tin and a ring of teeny garnet beads. Below is a quartz bead and tiny briolettes of tournamine.
It hangs from a thick ring of hammered copper leading to a handmade chain with dyed jade and quartz between thick S links. There are different styles of chain and pearly beads in brass caps. They’re actually vintage faux pearls which I’ve embellished with resin and mica powder effects.
The other end of the lariat has a chunky raw amethyst, a lampwork spike, and a big mauve-purple vintage glass drop on a hammered pun which I’ve embellished with gold sprinkles and resin on top. This end threads through the copper ring and can be worn at different lengths.
The chain alone is 22”. Measured from the base of each pendant, the entire piece is 27”.
