Purple lariat

This long lariat necklace begins with an antique Kuchi coin pendant into which I have built a resin opal. 

At the base are pieces of mother-of-pearl with a rainbow gleam. Cloudy layers slightly occlude these and, over the top, a bright, dried flower starburst.

This pendant hangs on a thick hammered ring. Through it threads the secondary focal- a raw amethyst crystal from my home country of Uruguay. In addition there’s a stacked dangle, which starts with a resin drop with pink inclusions, then a vintage plastic ring, one of my highly textured polymer clay beads, and finally an antique filigree bead. 

The necklace chain is made of thick S links between cloudy quartz and died jade beads.

The chain alone is 26 inches. The entire thing tip to tip is 29.5 inches.
