The base of this piece is an antique pendant from Waziristan, a tribal region between Afghanistan and Pakistan. In it I have sculpted a tiny clay face that tells a story.
She’s strung on a woven and waxed cotton cord. It’s embellished with bands of vintage tin and metal as well as one large ceramic bead. She is accompanied by a little Kuchi charm. Her her clasp is handmade and her extender chain terminates in a floral cabochon mounted on a piece of old tin with a tiny vintage glass pearl. Between the chain and cord are beads of vintage glass, clay, and quartz.
Shes made of QuickCure clay and painted with ink and pastel.
Adjustable from 18-21”. Let me know if you need it to be longer.
